Dangerous, Cruel, and Incompetent. If you care about your health and well-being, stay away from Dr. Lucille Thomas. Dr. Thomas falsely accused me, called me a liar., slandered me and when I attempted to defend myself, she threatened to not refill me prescription for a medication I need to survive. I was in shock by how awful this woman treated me. I paid her with my own money - no insurance. I'd only met her once before and paid her almost $300 for he first appointment. This was my 2nd appointment and paid her $90. I moved from San Diego to LA and needed a new Doctor. I take a medication that not every Doctor can prescribe and Dr. Thomas was one of the doctors that was certified to prescribe it. I normally take 30 pills a month - 1 a day. She gave me a prescription and made a follow up appt. I didn't look at the prescription and when I went to the pharmacy the prescription which was for double. It was for 60 instead of 30. I don't know if I told her the wrong amount or what. I didn't even have enough money to pay for 60, so I asked my pharmacy to just give me 30 for now and hold the other 30. Today was my 2nd appointment and it's been 6 weeks since my 1st. I had rescheduled twice because of a potentially life threatening medical issue and when I rescheduled it was because I was in the ER. Dr. Thomas came into the exam room, no hello, how are you, nothing. Before she said anything , I told her about the extra medication, plus I also had exactly enough left for the next 2 weeks which would've been exactly a 2 month supply. So I wasn't abusing them. In fact you CANT abuse this medicine. It does not get you high. Dr. Thomas immediately responded by calling me a liar. I refuted what she was accusing me of and had indisputable proof that she was wrong. The pharmacy verified I only picked up 30 at a time, and I had the exact amount enough left. When I proved that she was wrong, she threatened to not give me my prescription. If I don't take this medication, I become violently sick for about 2 weeks. What kind of Doctor threatens their patient by withholding medication they need? That's cruelty and totally unethical. Once I had the prescription, she told me I needed to find another doctor. I laid into her again. I was very upset at this point. I told her she could even drug test me. As soon as she knew she was wrong, she accused me of something else totally different. I also refuted that with evidence. And Even her receptionist, Sheri, backed me up and told Dr. Thomas what I was saying was correct. But Dr. Thomas apparently has a ginormous ego, and cannot admit or take responsibility when she was wrong. Every time I showed her the truth she tried to come up with something else I did wrong. She made herself look like such an idiot. Finally, when I had proved her wrong on everything she had accused me of, she said something like, "Well, I never has these issues with any of my other patients so you need to find a new doctor." What she should have said was, "I'm so sorry, my mistake". So I would urge anyone reading this to not see her. You don't want a doctor who threatens not to give you medication you need because she can't admit when she's wrong. Dr. Thomas is a dangerous, unethical, cruel doctor with a huge ego. Stay Away!
