After formerly having quite a few dentists as financial planning clients, I had the luxury of being very picky about selecting our family's dentist. When we moved here 6 1/2 years ago, Dr. Jansa and Dr. Gorham were recommended to us by a colleague, and we have been very happy with their practice and referred them to others. All of their hygienists have been very gentle and thorough, and the entire staff is always friendly and courteous.The one time we missed an appointment because my daughter got sick, they did not charge us a no-show fee. They've referred us to a pediatric orthodontist (whom we also love), recommended particular over-the-counter products for teeth sensitivity, grinding, etc. as needed. And they have always remembered each of our family members specifically when we come in, making us feel like extended family. I would highly recommend them.

Never, ever again. This dentist office's horrible customer service ultimately cost me $20,000. Following insurance snafu, they mailed a bill to a years-outdated address. Months passed, and I was entirely unaware of both the snafu and bill. The worst part was that I came in for next cleaning and they never even mentioned that a prior bill was pending. They then submitted the $100 bill to a collection agency, which sent notification to the same years-outdated address, and no one even informed me. The collection agency damaged my credit rating, just weeks before I secured a new mortgage. This dentist office ultimately bumped my 30-year interest rate up by 0.5 points. When I asked how this happened, they stated that they simply followed all their policies correctly, that they do the same to all patients, and that they have no plans to change their approach. I have been with Dr Jansa for 16 years or more, I have NEVER had a bad experience!! His front office staff is friendly, know who I am and always greet me with a smile! The nurses are top notch and I truly love Dr Jansa and his wife! I would highly recommend this practice!

My experience was not at all comfortable since I felt uneasy and fearful when he acted rude and inappropriate. I was simply asking questions which seemed to make him feel uneasy and defensive. It was strange to see a dentist lose his composure over questions about dental care. He seemed to overreact. Overall I would rank him as very poor in people skills and incompetent as a dentist since some serious complications resulted in his not detecting a situation as it should have been and not giving treatment for a area that needed attention. Many painful and costly treatments now need to be done due to the incompetence of this dentist. This situation probably should be brought to the attention of the Dental Board of TX.

Horrible experience: They billed us for an appointment that we missed due to them changing their system. We did not get the mail or a phone call reminding about the appointment as their reminder service is now Email only. We did not see the email and we tried to explain to them that as they have a new system in place they should not be charging us for the miss appointment. But they will not budge, to top that when we asked our x-rays so that we can move to another dentist, charges were $ 22 if we want to come and pick up personally but free if we ask them to mail to the other dentist office. That is not how you treat a patient who has been coming to the office for more than 6 years and never missed an appointment. Never going back there again.
