Lanna prepares the most wonderful breakfasts every day.  She was very interested in my reasons for coming to Mt. Shasta and took time to explore a nearby nature preserve with me.  The room was comfortable, and the other guests were an eclectic mix of friendly people.

My husband and I made a reservation with the Dream Inn because of it's beautiful curb appeal. The woman checking us in was very kind and welcoming. 

However, I STRONGLY recommend NOT staying here. 

Our room was filled with ants (baseboards, side tables, bathroom, etc). After telling the woman this, she was very understanding about refunding our reservation. But then, the "housekeeper" who apparently lives and runs the Inn too, came in accusing us of lying. After showing him the ants, he started mocking us for not being able to handle a few ants. He then ordered us out of the house and asked us to take our trash with us. The confrontation was so intense that I ended up having to call the cops for fear he would get physical. For the sake of safety, I would not recommend sleeping under the same roof as this man.

Lonna and David are great hosts. We were thoroughly pampered by Lonna's amazing food and fine dining experience and David and Lonna's hospitality. This place maintains the old world charm and personal touch that is hard to find these days. Mt. Shasta is visible from their backyard and beautiful garden. It's also centrally located and all major attractions are easily accessible.

Arrived and was greeted by Launa, she was super sweet and very hospitable. The breakfast that is included is not your "stereotypical one" , because she actually caters to all types of people's preferences. Her garden is absolutely gorgeous, with flowers and blueberries and little ponds. She has a wonderful set up, and takes the time to tell you what and where to go. Now try getting that local experience at the resort/spa!

Friendly owners and the place was filled with cool antiques. It was near downtown & my family was able to walk around in the evening to enjoy the shops.
