An old favorite. Always helpful staff and not overly crowed.

I always hated the idea of going to Dress Barn.  It's a BARN, I'd say to my mother.  And then when I was maybe 22 she finally got me to check out Dress Barn when I needed something to wear to an interview and had no other options.

Since then I've been shopping at Dress Barn once or twice a year and LOVE it.

Barn-named or not, this place has a reliable selection of cute clothing, especially dresses.  I feel like I cannot control myself when I go in here, I just rack up dress after dress after dress to try on.  And I always find something.  Not everything fits my body shape--implying the dresses come in varying body shapes (I'm scolding you, straight-hipped H&M)--but there's always something unbearably cute or professional or downright hot that I leave the store holding, my smile so big that it hurts my cheeks.

I also feel like the clothing here can be cheap compared to other places.  If you go to, I don't know, Nordstrom Rack, $100 will get you one dress.  At Dress Barn $100 will get you TWO dresses and a THIRD piece (a shirt, a skirt, some shapewear, etc.).  And it's not like the dresses are cheaply made--they stand up to years of wear.

They often have good sales going on.

The staff here is incredibly patient and helpful.
