Cleanest cabin we've ever stayed in at the coast! The only reason I'm not giving 5is bc the rules here are a little excessive. You can't have guests at your room or at the pool. I understand the reason behind the rules however families can't always stay at the same place and it would be nice to be at the pool together. We will definitely stay here again and again!

My first disappointment this year upon arrival was while filling out paperwork and when I got to the section asking how many guests, I was told there are no outside guests allowed, even just for the day. I explained we had been coming here for years and always had guest and it was too late to cancel the family reunion. We were allowed to have the guest but warned they could not use the pool and guest would not be allowed next year. 

I had been in contact with the resort several times since March organizing this reunion for the end of June. I even questioned one of my email conformations that had names other than mine on it. I was told not to worry those were just old names of our past guest left in the system. There was never a mention a “No Guest Policy”.

Drifters Resort is a nice facility with well-kept and clean cabins. The ground and pool areas are nice. Management has a few undisclosed rules and it saddens me to say our four generations of family will not be returning. Our family stays for 3 nights and 4 days and we rented 7 cabins during this time. We swim, go to the beach, and make homemade ice cream and have family meals. We have 2 additional families that live in the area who have always come to join the reunion as day guest. One of the group who is a day guest is Great Grandfather. I have bragged for years how fortunate we all are to have great grandfather in the pool playing with the great grandchildren. This was not allowed this year. 

One of our cabins accommodates 6 and only had 1 person staying in it, none of our cabins had the maximum numbers of guest. Another in our group wanted a site for Thursday and Friday, which covers the 2 night minimum, they were told they would have to pay for Saturday also, that they would not break up the weekend. Another member in our party rented a cabin for the one night Saturday only. 

Also I was told when trying to make a rv reservation, there are no short term RV sites any longer. 

Beware, Drifter’s rules seem to change without notice or disclosure; on the web site, in writing or verbally prior to your arrival.

My family of four stayed for a week. Great place! Comfortable and clean with everything you need. Great for families!
