Where to begin.. my husband and I moved into Driftwood RV park in the summer of 2016, with intentions to stay for the long term to save money to buy a more permanent home and buy our business. Things weren't good from the start, we were told by one of the owners that he was going to "Rip our RV out of here if we didn't fix our septic line(we didn't know we had gotten the wrong one by the way never living in an RV before) not only that but we were told by the same person that nobody wanted us to move in because of our children of which we have two a five year old and an 8 year old. Not long after that we met the sanitation worker (the guy who cleans the bathrooms). This man is for lack of a better term an old pervert. This man repeatedly asked about my husband and our sex life, out of fear of being kicked out we said nothing at the time. Then we had to deal with the troll lady cussing us out, and ex con neighbor who constantly harasses us and steals from us. The owner also said only suckers go to college (referring to me going for the same degree his wife has) the crappy wifi that never works and you absolutely have to pay for no ifs ands or buts. If you are under the age of 40 stay far away from driftwood rv park. The only good thing is the price. Oh and don't drive over 2 mph even though it says five you will be grilled for it.

Nice quiet place. Good value. Not too good to be true though. Monthly rate is good but facilities are some of the worst I've seen. Bath house is awful

I've been here for a week and have had a decent experience. Quiet, peaceful place; facilities are clean enough. My husband and I initially planned to make this a semi-permanent solution as young, new tiny-homers, but we may ultimately decide against Driftwood for long-term. We are millennials; do with that as you will. We were initially excited to move into a community with folks older than us, knowing it would be a quieter environment. However, adjusting to the community is difficult. Those who have been here for some time have been neither warm nor welcoming. In fact, we seem to have been a focal point of many complaints/gossip. On one occasion, a staff person has come by to "critique" our behavior. We were accused of speeding by other residents, though we knew it was strictly enforced at 5 MPH, per the community guidelines you must sign upon arrival. On another occasion, one of the other residents came to my husband and accused him of keeping our dogs outside our Airstream without leashes while she walked her own dog, which was not true. Upon further questioning, they discovered the dogs were indeed someone else's, per her descriptions of them. Fortunately, she apologized for the mix-up - but had already made a formal complaint about us. Even so, I can identify several dogs without leashes or even collars wandering about the property on a daily basis. I must wonder if similar complaints have been made regarding those residents? After all, keeping dogs on leashes was another part of the community guidelines we signed. Neither instance has been a great introduction to the neighborhood. Frankly, we're just trying to catch our breath since the move-in, but perhaps we should do so elsewhere next month. Potential young residents, please keep this in mind should you move forward with Driftwood. Moreover, we are at the back of the park and do not have wifi. We've already had to purchase an unlimited plan with our cell phone service provider as I am a graduate student and need the wifi to complete assignments. **If I feel the situation has resolved or changed by the end of the month, I will gladly adjust my review accordingly; if it has not, the review stands as is.
