I had a great experience when purchasing my vehicle in February of 2017.... I was well aware that brake jobs were my responsibility so I held nothing against DriveTime when I was having difficulty braking at high speeds, or in slippery conditions. I assumed my rotors were warped due to the shaking braking would cause.... not even a week ago the brakes began to squeak, so I knew it was time to get new pads... two days later, they began to grind..... my car sounded like knives  coming down the street. I couldn't believe they had worn down so severely, so soon after hearing the squeak.... nonetheless,  I went to have the pads replaced... the mechanic showed me that the wear indicator  had been pulled back and away from the pads!! Causing no squeaking when then pads were low. So I had been riding around for 6 months with faulty pads!! I came into the facility today and requested a copy of the service record,  I was told they don't have them on the premises, and was told to contact customer service. Matthew, who i was told was the manager, has the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life! He showed no concern, or empathy for my plight. He was arrogant, and condescending. No one in the facility showed any interest whatsoever,  this is a serious infraction and I will not stand for it! I know the law in Illinois,  and I know that even if Drive time  inspectors and mechanics didn't actually perform the act of altering my brake pads, they are responsible for seeing that someone else did, and make the vehicle safe to drive.  I am disgusted at this point, and I wouldn't recommend anyone doing business with this dealer. They are careless, and sloppy when it comes to ensuring the sale of safe vehicles, and clearly have no interest in the safety of the consumers who choose to do business with them. I wish Matthew had been the jerk he was today back when I walked in to do business..... please believe I would've walked right back out the door!

If I could give less stars I could. I bought a used 06 Mitsubishi a few months ago for my son. The salesman was ok however the entire process felt as if I was totally ripped off. I believe I was. First, the vehicle I purchased was well over priced for the year and mileage. Then exactly one month later I noticed that the breaks needed to be fixed. I contact them about this and they give me some repair shop to go look at the breaks. I get to the repair shop to learn that my warranty was over and I had to pay out of pocket for the repair. I agreed but was very angry on how I just purchased a vehicle that  needed repairs so soon. After the mechanic inspected my vehicle I was told that the breaks were completely warped and gone. I had to repair the entire brake system which cost me well over $600! For an overpriced vehicle that I just purchased one month prior!!! Which means that the brakes were damaged when I bought the vehicle. It’s Funny how I didn’t notice it when I test drove it though.  I was furious with drive time and I wouldn’t recommend anyone to purchase a vehicle with them!

Don't plan on getting a reliable car you wanted. They tell you "you're approved" if you bring in like $18,000 to put down on a car. Pretty disappointed if you ask me...
