I couldn't believe the overall rating when I googled this office this morning to get the lab hours. I have been going to this office for about 13 years and am totally happy. Yes, last year Dr. Mesibov felt the need to go outside the definition of the "free" routine physical, but he warned me that it would kick in my co-pay. Waiting times are kept reasonable and the amount of focused attention I get from Dr. Mesibov helps catch anything I might miss.- 1 star for the horrible coordination by the office staff in trying to get my wife a referral recently. It is sometimes hard to get goo help in Los Alamos.

Exactly the same thing happened to me twice in the office. It was a routine physical and the insurance should cover but they sent the bill. I called the insurance company and they said they should claim as a routine diagnose not non-routine diagnose. So, be careful with their work.

I found Dr Mesibov to be extremely helpful and willing to listen to what I was experiencing. He took action based on what he heard from me and was willing to spend the time it took to properly address my concerns.

Went in for a routine physical, which is covered 100% by my insurance. The physical seemed to be going well. As the physical was about to be concluded Dr. Taylor looked at his records and noticed that I have seen him in the past for allergies. The allergies weren't bothering me at the time, I wasn't visiting him because of the allergies. He asked how the allergies have been since I last saw him. I told him about a study I've read in where fasting can help allergies and asked about his take on that. Little did I know that by discussing allergies with him my "routine physical" had just turned into an official "office visit" and I would be billed $112. I didn't know I was going to be billed for this until AFTER I received my bill in the mail. If I knew before hand that I would be billed for discussing anything other than something related to the physical I wouldn't have answered Dr.Taylor about the allergies! At the very least I could have been informed / warned that discussing something like this would lead to a 112$ charge! Their billing office refused to budge on this issue and insisted that charging me 112$ is justified. Keep in mind I didn't receive nor request any prescriptions referrals or anything else. I just discussed an article.
