We received great service from Duke's Plumbing and Heating last month. When I had someone come to clean my heating ducts they discovered damage to the ducts and also that some rodents had been living in them - AAGGGGH!!!! Anyway, they explained my options and when I decided those ducts had to go, they gave me a credit for my duct cleaning against the cost of the duct replacement and were super fast in getting it done with really friendly, professional service. I appreciated this because the temperatures at night were well below freezing at the time. Even though I assured them that our wood stove would get us through, they made sure that had it done in 2 days. I was so happy with the service, I had them install my new toilet as well.

Last winter I had a furnace stop functioning and decided to replace the 25 year old unit with a new one.  Duke's had already replaced my elderly water heater with a tankless and I had been impressed with the way his crew did their work, so I decided to use his service for the heater.  I didn't have the thermostat replaced and later in the winter, when I was out of the country, I discovered through a utility bill that the heater wasn't working.  I had a friend let Duke's guys in and they found the thermostat was defective then replaced it, then returned to assure that all was working correctly.  I have to say his work is more expensive than some others, but I felt the quality of the workmanship and equipment was worth the extra.  I would definitely use them again.  I am not an employee or personal friend of anyone at the company.

OK, so we had an experience that everyone can relate to. We had "sh**" all over the place again. Called the plumbing company we used the last time this happened. They didn't show when scheduled, finally got a hold of them and they said "OH, we can't make it today".  Now to the good part. Called Duke's and they were able to get to us within a couple of hours. Kevin was great; he had to remove the toilet as we didn't have a clean out and was able to get everything flowing again in short time. We had Kevin come back and install a clean out for us. So here is the bottom line - the emergency house call was half of what the other company charged and the clean out fix was also about half of what the other company quoted. We were very pleased and recommend Duke's highly.

Duke's Plumbing wasn't the first firm we tried in Reno - but it's the last.  They have consistently been the best company we've ever experienced in the care of our older home.  When ever we called, they were there and the quality of work AND the prices were outstanding.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE..... Stay as far away from these people as possible.  They send 2 people to double the cost, even for a simple, single handle faucet and drain (spare bedroom sink).....I supplied the faucet and drain and they gave me a nearly $600 bill, $440.00 JUST in labor - for a simple, single handle faucet and drain. To add insult to injury,  they gave me another bill for about $150 in "parts" - which would cost $15 -$25 at Home Depot.  Bad, unethical and unprofessional people.   Cathy R
