The City Council is the legislative and policy-making body for the City of Durham with offices located at Durham City Hall. City Council is comprised of 7 members: the Mayor, 3 members elected to represent specific wards, and 3 at-large members. The terms for City Council seats are staggered, and nonpartisan elections are held every 2 years. Meetings take place every 1st and 3rd Monday at 7 p.m. and are open to the public.
