I'm my Mom's Conservator and Legal Guardian. She has Alzheimer's and is now a total care patient at The Heritage Home in Florence, SC. Prior to that she lived in an Assisted Living Facility in Florence from 2000 until 2010. She then went into the Nursing Home. My Husband and I have supplemented her income from 2000 till now. In 1990, my parents deeded their property to their three children leaving whoever was living with a life time claim on the estate. This was done to assure the children that the property would go to each of us and then onto the grandchildren. Dad died first in 1995.Mom had the life time claim. My sister had 2 sons and on her part, she was left with a life time claim like Mom and then it will go onto her 2 sons.We all had full understanding that our Daddy would have wanted his wife, our Mom cared for. We all also knew that this property was NOT ours until they both were no longer living! We all also knew that our parents wanted the land to stay in the family. I proposed that the timber be cut and cleaned off of the property in 2009 and the proceeds go to Mom since her expenses had increased significantly.None of my family was asked to help with these costs previously. I wanted to put it in a timber program and plant baby trees after that to increase the next sale value and the family would get those proceeds later.My Sister and her 2 sons did not agree "because it was their inheritence!" I guess they missed the part that Mom was still living! I gave each family member a copy of the proposed contract and sales. My sisters son is a friend of ED PEW. I suppose he reviewed the proposed contract and said that it was too high, meaning the timber would not bring that much money in. ED Pew then went on ALL of the family property WITHOUT permission and cruised all of the property. He was doing this for his friend to generate information that would be used in evidence in court. We went to Probate Court and it was decided that my Sister and her 2 sons part could not be cut because both Mom and My Sister have a life time claim and the 2 sons are the "real owners." So far,we have gone on and cut part of my brother's property which he did agree to and it did sell for the exact amount on the contract!! This guy did something that he had no business doing without permission. He should have not been on property cruising timber without my permission. I'm Mom's Legal Guardian and Conservator! He practices illegally and he cannot be trusted! I tried to ignore that this happened but when I saw this opportunity to tell our story, I decided it was time!!
