I am an emeritus professor of biology and having worked at SUNY Buffalo State for more than 30 years, and still working there as a Research Professor, I can say that the Butler Library is one of the bright stars on campus. The book and journal collections are small and restricted by budgets and by the presence of UB dominating the library universe in Buffalo. However I am very seldom thwarted in my searches and access to the latest science literature. The electronic and web based resources are outstanding. I attribute much of this to Maryruth Glogowski  the former director of the library and one of the forward-looking administrators on campus. When I came to the College the resources were extremely limited and the service was not "user friendly." The current situation is amazing compared to what it was 30 years ago.
