E. M. Scott General Contractor, Inc is a State Certified Class A General Contractor located in Tampa, we perform commercial construction of all types throughout the state of Florida. We are a 4th Generation family-run business and pride ourselves on ethical business practice with an emphasis on integrity and commitment. Established in 1927, we are among the oldest and most well-respected General Contractors in the Tampa Bay area. With the key personnel currently in our office combined with our many years of experience in the Tampa bay area, we a have built a reputations of consistently exceeding our customer's requirements in these key areas, and doing so with the highest standards of business ethics.

We have experience with a wide variety of building types and contract delivery methods, and perform new construction, additions, renovations and 'specialty' construction. We have performed work for businesses such as: The State of Florida, Tampa Electric, Verizon Business, government entities, schools, health departments plus many more and have maintained a positive and ongoing relationship with these customers. Working in sensitive environments, around ongoing operations and employees, at odd hours, and "fast tracking" projects are conditions we are adept at dealing with. Bottom line, we seek to understand our customer’s needs, and work hard to meet those needs.

In 2009, we became a LEED Accredited Professional to remain current in today's ever changing green construction environment. Being Floridians, we have always had a vested interest in protecting our environment and natural resources. We will extend our expertise to any design, construction, operations or maintenance of building that we serve.
We are financially strong, listed with Dun and Bradstreet with a 3A1 rating, we are rated 'A' with the Better Business Bureau, have never filed for bankruptcy and have never failed to complete a project. We are fully licensed (LIC # CGC-008062) and insured, and have a bonding capacity of up to 7 million dollars.
