The top loading washers didn't fill up for the rinse cycle, so I asked for a refund to restart the washers so I could add the fabric softener to the wash cycle. I got a call the next day from manager or possibly the owner, who stated that the washers had been looked at by maintenance and were working fine. Then tried to tell me that the washer had not given a rinse cycle, because I stood there and held the lid open and that commercial washers wouldn't function properly with the lid open. Given the fact that I had worked in a laundromat for several years prior to this experience, I assured her that I was well aware of how a commercial washer functioned and that I had not held the lid up during the cycle. I had only cracked the lid open at the rinse cycle to see how much water was in the machine, because I don't add fabric softener until the clothes are completely covered with water and the only thing the machine had done for the rinse was spin the clothes around and run a little bit of water over them, then went through the final spin cycle and stopped. Still and yet, she denied that this was a possibility and repeatedly tried to claim that I held the lid open. Then wanted to know why I restarted my clothes in the same washers. I replied with; I only needed a rinse cycle in order to add fabric softener and your machines only filled up one time, both times that I started them...which was during the wash cycle, so it worked out perfectly. I got my fabric softener added and the washer, once again, only filled up once so I got the rinse cycle I was waiting for. She still denied that the washers functioned this way. Then apparently proceeded to tell the employees to stop coddling the customers and giving money back so easily. because next time I did laundry there, I used different top loading washers and the same thing happened again, I told the employee working there that the same thing happened again and she stated that she wasn't allowed to give a refund and that after the last incident, she was told to stop coddling the customers. I also had a second employee state that she was told the same thing. Needless to say, with that and the fact that the dryer had destroyed three of my expensive sweaters from getting way to hot, the roaches I saw every time I used their establishment,  and basically being called a liar by the lady on the phone, I found another laundromat to use. FYI E-Z Way, if you have a business that is solely supported by customers who rely on the proper functioning of your equipment, you should probably keep them better maintained and be willing to refund the cost of the wash and/or drying when your machines malfunction!! That's not coddling the customer, that is honest and fair business practice. And this will be posted to the BBB website.
