Great spot with a open and trendy feeling, had a couple small plates and oysters both were excellent and the service was also very good. I'm not a huge fan of beers anymore but had the flight and was very pleased. Highly recommend

Insane good food and beer... One of my favorite restaurants in LA... Not your normal beer joint, food is very well done. And great oysters

Nice small local spot with a variety of brews by Eagle Rock Brewery and some guest taps and bottles.  Not your typical pub faire, but an elevated take on it.  Worth the price and worth stopping in for dinner and a couple pints. If you hear about a special dinner event here, it is even more worth stopping in.

The Wild Wild West of Eagle Rock/ Highland Park has a new Boss in town. Many of the spanking new restaurants serve plenty of  tasteful decor but forgot their cooking basics. Not here at the Public House. The right balance of interesting ingredients not for the SAKE of having trendy names on the menu. Flavor and presentation blend harmoniously with the surrounding; understated and solid. I always give one extra star to restaurants that offer beer flight. If I like small plates, I also like small but variety of beers with dinner.

FYI, Public House charges a 3% "living wage" surchage on your total bill.  Unless you have a pocket magnifying glass, you will surely miss the tiny  type. I would rather the restaurant "raise the menu price" than for me to find out about this surprise charge when I get the bill. It is a very manipulative practice. Yes, I am not thrilled about this but I still highly recommend Public House for the food and ambience. I just won't go back myself until this practice is stopped.
