I LOVE East Harbor! There are always so many things to do for everyone from friends to whole families and kids to adults. My family goes there on day trips every summer to walk through the trails and see tons of nature (and even deer!) and sit on the beach. I know they have many more things to do but we like it because it's somewhere we can go and have fun without really having to plan or pack anything. I would highly recommend a visit!

BEAUTIFUL STATE PARK ON THE SHORES OF LAKE ERIE. nice camping areas, from tents to RVs, pet friendly, swim, play on the beach, fish, hiking trails, atv trails, winter snowmobile trails, lots of opportunities for birding and wildlife. GREAT PLACE TO VACATION OR just come for a day to play. Close to the ferry docks for trips to the Islands.

Great place to camp, but it can be busy so I would make a reservation. Bathrooms are nice and clean! Also there's a beach right down the road and there's a ton of places to fish. We usually rent bikes and ride around.

Excellent beach with well marked areas for swimming and relaxing. Lifeguards are not always out but on high traffic days they are usually there. Great place for the family.

East Harbor State Park is a gem within the state of Ohio! The beach is beautiful, especially at the time of sunrise and sunset. There are small shells to be found if you look and if you enjoy walking in the water, you'll love it here because you can walk out several hundred feet to the breakers and the water (most times of the year) only comes up to your chest (if you're at least 4 feet tall). There are small waves, so you can enjoy the lovely sound of the water, but the waves aren't so big that they take out sand castles on the beach, so you see many being worked on by both adults and children. Bathrooms are well done for an outdoor location. Doors on the bathroom stalls, flush toilets and running water (sinks). Outside the bathrooms are spigots to wash off your feet or rinse off completely (high spigots and low spigots). You'll find picnic tables along the beach area (above the sandy area), so families bring lunch and stay the day. Seagulls are on the beach when it's not so busy (try September!). We love it here and have made several day trips to relax and enjoy some family time. You reach the beach by entering the East Harbor State Park (campground). The campground is beautiful as well, but that review is for another time!
