What a wonderful asset to the community! This place is still a work in progress (we came on Thanksgiving) but very nice facility and well worth going to. The staff is friendly and happy to share information and the specific history of the animals. Love the many hands-on activities. My almost adult children were being kids again while having a blast feeding the sting rays! We will be back when the shark tank opens!

The whole experience was one gigantic joke! Directly outside the front door, there was a sign advertising the "Finding Dory" movie that was playing. I excitedly told my girlfriend, "Oh boy, I've been waiting to see that movie!" After paying, an employee told us that the movie poster was commemorating the old movie theater that used to be there and that the aquarium was NOT showing that movie. The employee recommended that we check out the "mermaid" instead. "Oh boy," I thought again. Then, we discovered the mermaid was an employee in a belly shirt that was sitting in front of the shark exhibit (the sharks hadn't arrived yet because they are in their "soft open" stage). Rewind to the paying process: A ticket for me and my girlfriend ended up being $24. Luckily, the cashier informed us that if we bought tokens with our tickets, we would be able to feed and pet the animals. How could we possibly pass up such an opportunity?! So, we bought 4 tokens which brought our bill to $34. After paying, we received 2 free tickets to come back again in the future. Upon this discover, we attempted to refund our tickets and take the free tickets that the couple ahead of us had received upon their purchase, so we could save on money by splitting the cost with the other couple. Unfortunately, because of it being in the soft open stage, no refunds are accepted. Inside the aquarium, many of the tanks were murky or didn't have animals inside. When we got to the bird exhibit and wanted to feed the birds with our tokens, guess what? There was no bird food left! But, that's okay because you can get refunded for the tokens that you didn't use... OH WAIT, YOU CAN'T! ...Now the good: Everything was so ridiculous that I got a good ab workout in from laughing so hard. Also, I was able to pet a sting ray, look at some birds, and hold a couple of reptiles. The exhibit was very small and definitely has potential, but as for now, you are paying a hard price for a soft open.

This is a great place to go and visit especially if you have kids. They are trying hard to make a great aqarium, but still have a lot of work ahead of them. Staff could try harder gaining and education and better understanding of the animals. Knowledge seems to be limited to whatever they googled. Hopefully the public supports this business and it stays around for good. 😁

We loved it! I went in with low expectations, and, so far as aquariums go, it’s relative, right? For being in Idaho Falls and newly opened, it was great. They had tanks to touch fish, tokens to buy and feed them, and lots of other waters-edge animals like poison-dart frogs, finches, a toucan, turtles, and lizards. We paid for our tickets and got two passes for free to come back when it’s fully stocked (including sharks!). Employees were great!

Absolutely terrible service up front. If you want quick easy payment this is not the place to go. Don’t buy a family pass unless you’re prepared to have to fight with the cashiers to get in every time you go. If you can get through the unprepared and not at all trained 16 year olds up front there are some very friendly and knowledgeable people in the back. The fish are really cool and I love the birds. The staff that deals with the animals are amazing. They are wonderful with children and answer questions really well!
