We stayed here to be close to Iowa Lakes Community College. Wasn't too impressed when we first arrived but my opinion changed over our 4 day stay. The facilities were clean and Val, who runs things and lives on site, is very nice and helpful. The tornado siren sounded during our stay and she rounded everyone up and directed us to the storm shelter - onsite - and made sure everyone was OK and safe. Was it luxury? No. Would I stay again? Yes. For 15$ a night for water, electric, dump and 4pm checkout it was ideal. Huge play park within walking distance and if you turn left out of the campground there is a water park - just carry on down the road and you will come to it. Downside - trains!!!

Affordable tent camping, close to downtown shopping, and US 71 shopping area. Hy Vee is downtown. Campground has nice thick lawn, amazingly clean and bright bathrooms, playground, walking trail to use. Quiet. There is a scrap metal processor across the way that starts operations early in the morning, and those sounds carried in the cool night air, but I fell asleep again.

Great Weather made this a beautiful weekend spot. The showers/restrooms were spotless, lots of hot water. Only 2 other RVs in the river bottom area with us & Thankfully it had been dry all summer, so no bugs for our stay. Loved the bike path running through and parks next to it. Ate breakfast @ Terazzo cafe & Caribou coffee-delicious! The campground host was rude and unavailable for our entire stay, however. Too bad, would have given it 5 stars! Price makes up for it I guess.

The area is nice but the recycling plant nearby is very LOUD. 5am to 5pm. It's quite annoying! The bathrooms and showers are clean but there are no safety bars for handicap folks. My hubs is in a wheelchair so we could have used that - he said it was hard to navigate the he restroom/shower. We never did see a camp host - I guess we we're following the rules! As per usual, my big pet peeves at campgrounds ---} CIGARETTE BUTTS. HEY SMOKERS, THINK YOU COULD AT LEAST THROW YOUR BUTTS IN THE FIRE PITS? All in all, good value for the price.

this has always been one of my faves. Great park for the kids, also a skate park. Convenient hook ups for RVs and indoor and outdoor meeting/picnic areas. Well taken care of and maintained.
