NO! This place is a NO! At first I went bc the massage therapist was also a Licensed Physical Therapist. I like DEEP tissue, lots of pressure massages. So I thought this would be a good fit. I have gotten 2 two hour massages from this place. I wrote on the intake form "NO GLUTES, NO HAMS." That is my right as the client to decide where can be touched on MY body. Immediately the massage therapist pushed on this. I hesitated, not wanting to start the massage with a bad vibe. She only did stretching of those areas so I was ok. Next time, she completely disregarded this. Later telling me she forgot. I actually came up off the table, crying as she was working my glutes. My body was shaking I was crying so hard (silently). I kept crying. She kept commenting on how I was only getting more and more tense. She was discussing what her goals were for working these areas I had deemed off limits. Her goals are irrelevant. It is my body, and my massage. I decide how I can best relax. Even after she moved on from my glutes, every touch felt like a violation. then she started to work my lower back, and she commented on how tense it was (I was clenching my glutes to the point I was in pain). I burst out "I don't like anyone touching my A$$" I was in tears. Instead of taking her hands off of me and asking if it was okay to continue, she finished the massage, even though I only became more and more tense. I cried after she left the room. She admitted her careless mistake and offered a free massage. As if I will go back to a place where I felt so completely violated. She should have handed the check back to me. This was a 2 hour massage that I had to take the entire day off from work for.
