They discovered my unit and a number of others had been broken into and reported it to the Sheriff's Department.  They however, did not contact me.  Additionally, in my case, the unit was completely emptied by the thieves and despite that they continued to charge me rent each month for 3 months before I, on my own, discovered what had happened when I went to get something out of my unit.  I realize I was naive to not have checked on it frequently, but still, while not legally obligated to contact me, I feel like it would have been the decent thing to do.  I would certainly urge people to stay as far away from this facility as possible.
