Story

Eastridge is a 900,000 square foot regional shopping center located off I-85 at exit 20; New Hope Road in Gastonia, North Carolina. Eastridge is anchored by Belk, Dillard’s, Sears and JCPenney, along with 85 specialty stores.

Let's be honest, malls like these are slowing going out of business. No one wants to shop at places like this anymore. Everything is online, or outlet stores. Twenty years ago this mall was amazing, but times have changed. They still have some of the large stores that some are familiar with: Victoria's Secret, Bath & Body Works, Children's Place, etc...but there are also a lot of independent stores that I don't think everyone would visit. The food court is a dying mess, short for Renaldo's Culinary Experience. I went to lunch the other day and that was the only place that had a line. A pretty long line in fact. The food looked amazing and I have a feeling most of the people in line just showed up for the food. If I hadn't been running short for time I would have ordered food from there. Parking is more than abundant at the mall so don't worry about a lot of walking. They do have a small play area for kids if you need to sit down and keep them busy for a little bit. They also have an area for new moms if you need to nurse or have some quiet time.

This mall is scary! The only reason I ever go there is because of the tag office. It use to have nicer stores but they have all closed down. It's sad to see.

I HATE malls. Went there to get a case and headphones for my daughter's new phone. He's beside the food court and I trust him. He's the only one I would trust for screen replacement and gear for the phone!!! Honesty goes a long way with me.

Only one anchor left - Belk. This mall is on life support. More stores closed than open. Things are in disrepair. It's just a matter of time. Too bad- no place to go in Gaston County for things you might need at a large department store. Amazing!

A lot of closed down stores in mall, but then there are a lot of small little pop up stores in the middle of the floors. To me this looks so tacky. Make them rent a small place in the mall (store) even if its a small space. It would look better than sitting all out in middle of mall. Food court always looks dirty to me. People don't half clean up after themselves. 
For once, the tag place wasn't so bad. I just took a number and waited. It was a 45 minute wait, but I just sat there and people watched. Didn't have to stand the whole time, which I can't anyway due to lower back and left leg problems. But I could keep track of about when I would be seen and it wasn't stressful. But the low star rating is for the mall itself.
