I AM VERY SORRY TO HAVE TO WRITE THIS, BUT I MUST TO PROTECT OTHER CUSTOMERS, ESPECIALLY VISITORS!!

This pharmacy advertises $2.99 generic medications.  I ordered Allopurinol, both 300 mg and 100 mg.  These medications are available almost everywhere for $10 for 90 days supply (l per day).  At $2.99 per month it should have been $8.97 but I was charged $10.  When I asked I was told that prices for these medications are being raised and would no longer be available elsewhere for the $10 price (not true, I just checked Winn Dixie's website) and next time would be $30 ea for 90 days next time.  I was also quoted for Gilipizide ER (not available anywhere for $10 for 90 days) at $25 for 30 days.  Winn Dixie's price for Gilipizide ER is $17 for 90 days.  It is not that I object to his pricing, he can price whatever he wishes and then take or not take whatever people's insurance companies pay.  I have no insurance and have to pay out of pocket.  What I object to is the bait and switching that I saw going on, because the pharmacist insisted that his prices were cheaper than anyone else around, which is flat out NOT TRUE.  I really wanted to be able to give my business to the local merchant but then in return I expect honesty from that merchant and here I did not get it.  The review will be published with my name attached, so I am not hiding.  Fairway, if you read this, you will know who wrote it.  

Please note:  In carefully looking at the two other reviews, one is by the owner/pharmacist and I think but am not absolutely certain the one by the young woman is from someone who works there as a pharmacy tech.  I am really sorry to have to write such a scathing review but I don't want others to be mistreated financially.

Best pharmacy in Bradenton, FL. Cheapest prices than anywhere else, customer service is excellent! MJ, the pharmacist, is very caring about his patients and makes sure to explain everything when being prescribed a new medication. His tech, Reina, is also very helpful and quick!
