The staff was very friendly and helpful with additional towels for use at the pool and he offered to help us with our luggage. The pool was nice and the breakfast included homemade biscuits and gravy, a waffle maker and juice but I couldn't find any milk for cereal. There was no hot water to shower with after swimming in the evening--but we did have hot water that next morning. Otherwise, the rooms were clean and the fridge/microwave in the room was a great bonus.

The first time I used this place I really liked it. The staff was great and they really went the extra mile to make you feel welcome. It's still a good place to stay but the rooms are way too dark and could use a little TLC.

Just checked in. This is supposedly a brand new motel. However, there is NO ELEVATOR for this two story motel. There are only stairs at each end. We requested through the Choice app a king bed non-smoking. What we received was 2 queen beds and a room that smelled of smoke. Update will occur later. UPDATE: The beds were not 2 queen, but it was 2 full beds. We talked to the customer service for Choice Hotels, and the only thing they could do was talk to the general manager. The general manager only gave us two options, either to check out and find another hotel (which we could not because there was a huge festival in the area at the time) or just suck it up and stay. We ended up staying and stay cramped for my wife and I on the full bed. The only reason that we gave it 2 stars instead of 1 was because the front desk apologized for the situation and did what she could for the circumstances.

The beds are comfy and the towels are soft are the two compliments I can give. Otherwise, this hotel is not excellent, but ok. It was a little hard to find in the dark because the sign in the parking lot was not lit up and the walkway along the building is also not illuminated. There was no one at the front desk so we finally figured out how to call someone to the desk with a phone sitting in the lobby. The volume on the TV in the room did not work and the water in the shower for 2 days in a row kept changing from hot to cold and hot again and finally all the hot water was used up by all the guests taking showers, there was only cold water left. There is a pool. It's not the fanciest, but kids love any pool. The vending machines only take quarters and the front desk didn't have any so I had to walk to the gas station near by to get a drink. The ice machine didn't dispense ice- we had to open it from the top and dig some out with our hands. The breakfast was just oatmeal in packets, toast, pastries, a juice machine that was out and biscuits and gravy. I would have liked some protein options like hard boiled eggs and some fruit.

Pretty good for price...lighting outside is poor and would be scary except crime is probably low?
