I stayed here for one night in late December 2017 while I was on my way to Chicago. I was tired and pulled off the highway. The hotel was under renovation (at least in the entrance way foyer). I thought my room was kinda creepy. Felt unclean, carpet was stained as was the chairs. Furniture was old and had dents. Halls were very noisy at night like it was being used as a extended stay facility for homeless families. It was not a pleasant experience. Bed and bedding was subpar and also just kinda gave me the creeps. But I just had to get some sleep and was tired out from driving so far. Overall the hotel just felt like a creepy unclean environment. But that’s just my opinion.

Rooms are severely outdated and dirty. There’s a strange musty scent in the air. The carpet is dirty, the bath tub was also extremely dirty and had hair in it. The wallpaper is peeling and buckling in every corner. The door frames have thick layers of chipped paints, wood at the bottom of the door is splitting. Pulled back the cover and found some sort of insect. I have the picture. All the furniture looks as if it has not been replaced in over 30 years minus the tv and microwave. Really could use some upgrades and more attention to the people who are supposed to be “cleaning” these rooms. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Please Save your response, they all seem pretty generic.

We loved our experience with this hotel. Alex and all the girls that worked at the front desk are friendly and helpful. Carmen and the housekeeping staff, they kept rooms cleaned and always went above and beyond. The breakfast was amazing and the pool was wonderful. Because of this trip we will only use this chain and the professional treatment is why we will be returning in August. Thank you for not just treating us like we were visitors we were treated like family.

Service was great, rooms are good, prices this close to Chicago is good. Indoor pool, restaurant on site, helpful stall, did have to wait to get checked for a good while. The lady was knowledgeable but slow. I reserved ahead of time and still took longer than expected. That was only problem really, not a bad stay at all.

I would never recommend this hotel. Worst experience ever. First room reeked of marijuana, floor not vacuumed, dirty/broken phone. I asked for a second room and was moved down the hallway which was not much better. In the second room, fridge did not work properly made loud noises all night, ac would go on and off every 2 min, ice bucket had a huge hair ball in it, coffee maker was dirty sticky and had last guest coffee still in it, tub was dirty, towels where stained and worn out, floor was also not vacumened. I was looking forward to using the pool but was turned off by the cloudy dirty water. Continental breakfast consist of small pastry items, waffles, and cereal nothing more and not many choices. I ended my stay after the first night and was scheduled for four nights. Staff was very unprofessional, dirty uniforms, and did not apologize for the inconvenience. When I asked to check out, front desk clerk did not appear to care and did not ask me why I was checking out early. While checking out another guest called to front desk stating they saw a rat and asked for someone to check it out. Front desk complained to other staff that guest is being dramatic.
