Came to the area with my friend to look at homes in the area. If you are looking for a room, a decent bed, breakfast, and peace and quiet after a day out this is the place. They support smokers rights with an entire floor of rooms. They support non smoker rights with two floors of non smoking rooms. It's easy to get to from major roads but far enough away to be a fairly quiet. There's a McDonald's and a full service Sheetz across the street. The employees have been very sweet and helpful. It's been a good stay.

We got here at 1 this morning and the girl's at the front desk were fantastic! The room is clean as all get out. The parking situation could be better, it's really tight for a full size truck. But all in all a great place to stay.

When we checked in we where placed in room 300 a Queen room . The toilet was backed up and could not flush it. The room smelled of must and smoke. The Sheets had dirt on them and the cover had burn marks on them. The floor was dirty and the whole room was out dated. We reported this to the staff. We where then moved to room 210 a double room. There was so much noise from other guest yelling and hitting all the other doors cause they were drunk we could not sleep. Which was not much better at least the toilet flushed and the sheets had no dirt on them. We where told we would have to move out of that room in the morning cause it was doubled book. We had to move to room 102 a king room which was a lot better but still out dated. The breakfast was not a breakfast, muffins fruit and a waffle maker. There was hardly no parking. I have stayed at other Choice hotels in the past that were 10 times better than this place. It was a dump.

Very Fast Internet, Better than Sleep inn For Sure. They have remodeled the entire place making the beds nicer and the rooms prettier. The Staff is very accommodating.

My friend and I stayed here while she was looking at the area and viewing houses on the market. For our purposes, the Econo Lodge was perfect. Our room was pretty clean, the beds were comfortable and even had bed bug mattress covers, the water was hot, the thermostat worked well, and there was an adequate breakfast selection included. If you are a normal traveler visiting Johnstown this place works well, especially for the price per room. It isn't romantic or formal. But it is family and pet friendly. It is also smoker friendly. We deduced that the 3rd floor is dedicated to smokers. The 1st and 2nd floors are for non-smokers. We had 2 ashtrays in our room upon arrival. Here are the things that weren't great. The vanity in our room was broken. A large piece of the solid plastic was missing. Not a really big deal but it should be replaced. The bathroom sink had a slow drain. It wasn't a deep sink so it filled up quickly with just a hand wash or a tooth brushing. The air intake was very dusty and in need of cleaning. The grate was covered with lint and dust. Our window didn't have a screen. But on a positive note it did open. These days most hotel/motel windows don't open at all. So we kept the window open since there didn't seem to be bugs or bees around. The included internet really didn't work well and we each ended up using close to a MB of data. The internet was not secure; we didn't even need a password so be mindful of you are going to an important sir like a bank or using a credit card over the connection. Our stay was still enjoyable and we would stay here again if we travel to Johnstown. It certainly wasn't the worst place I've ever stayed. For casual it works well.
