As a moderately priced property at which smoking is permitted in at least some rooms, this was an exceptional hotel. It was set back off the road. It was clean, well-maintained and housekeeping was very good.

I arrived late (after 11pm) with an already paid reservation. I had called hours before to inform the front desk of my late arrival and inquired if my room would be held. They said yes. When I arrived the man working the front desk was rude and snippy. The first words out of his mouth were "we're full." I told him I had a reservation and he looked down-right exhausted at the prospect of having to deal with a customer. He begrudgingly checked me in and told me all he had was a smoking double. I had booked and paid for a non-smoking king AND they confirmed on the phone just hours prior that it would be there for me. Trying to explain this to him was useless; he only had a smoking double and he didn't care if I liked it or not. Never have I felt such disdain and lack of empathy while being checked into a hotel and given a room I did not book. At the end of a long day on the road, it provided a terrible, helpless feeling. In the morning I stopped by the front desk and mentioned my interaction with the overnight clerk, and my preference to change rooms if one became available. Hours later while I was out in town, I received a call from the manager apologizing and offering a king suite upgrade for free. Now THAT'S the way you treat your customers. People remember and associate individual experiences with hotel brands forever. They really saved not just this review, but future hotel lodging considerations.

I will never recommend this place again. I called and asked for rates and gave the guy specific dates. He told me a price. Called back not too long after and tried to book it and the price went up about $30 with the excuse "It's a game weekend". I understand it's football season, but I called and gave specific dates (so he should've known then it was on a game weekend) and I was quoted one price. Call back shortly after to schedule and they want to jack up the price. And they weren't even in short supply of rooms!! I have plenty of people visit me from out of town and I will never recommend this place again. They just lost a bunch of business.

The entrance was nice and well lit. Upon arrival I was greeted by the friendly lady at the front desk. She told me about the rewards program and offered to sign me up, telling me about the great promotions that are always going on. We entered our room and I was truly surprised, ( wasn't expecting to much as it was an Econo Lodge ) The room was very nice and clean. I love the size of the bathroom and was really impressed with the beds. Give me a set of those pillows now that would be a great promotion 🌬🌘...I also loved the towels. I have to say, I felt like I was at a Holiday Inn on a budget price...nice work Econo Lodge Suites
