Hotel is in need of remodeling. The room needed some major cleaning to get the mold off of the vent in the bathroom and around the bathroom floor. They have begun remodeling and the dinning room looks very nice. Owner states the rooms are being remodeled in the near future. Ask for a remodeled room when making your reservation. Hotel is located in a great spot right new SC Hwy 26. Many places to eat near by too. Price was excellent as well. Beds were very comfortable and I checked for bedbugs and found none.

This hotel was a good value for the price I paid. Check in was easy and we were conveniently located near the pool. The walls of the room were very dirty and marked up in several places. It definitely needed a new coat of paint. The rest of the room was fine. The linens were clean and the bed was comfy. We had 2 adults and a child, but only 2 sets of towels in the room. Before I could call to ask for more, I took my son to the pool and brought our 2 towels with us. One of the housekeepers saw me and asked if I needed more towels. I told her yes and she brought a bunch out to me at the pool. Not only pool towels, but also new sets of room towels too. Very good service! The breakfast was your average continental breakfast. My only suggestion is that they move the waffle iron to a separate spot, so it can have its own line. As it's set up now, you have to wait in the same line whether you want cereal or waffles. I got the impression that this is a family run hotel and it was obvious that they care about what they're doing. The hotel was under renovation when we stayed and it seemed that the work was being done by one contractor. He was working on the ladies room from the lobby, so there were a bunch of old dirty toilets outside leaning against the wall. That's not the kind of thing that bothers me, but it could bother other people. The hotel was in Columbia, SC and that's only 1 1/2 hours away from where we live. We stayed overnight because of the eclipse, but if we ever needed to stay again I'd definitely use this hotel.

It was a nice place for the night, great price and very clean. Nice bedding too. I would definitely stay there again.

The first time it stayed there for 11 days and it was okay. The AC didn't cool the room and the bathtub drain got clogged, but it was a clean and cheap closet-sized roomed motel. I parked in front of my room, which was nice after being in hotels where this wasn't an option. My second stay was a nightmare. The room hadn't been vacuumed and there was a sticky pink stain on the floor in front of the sink, with a coordinating stain on the bathroom door. I asked to change rooms and was told that I'd have to take a room on the second floor. I can't walk stairs, so I stayed in the room and the desk clerk told me she'd have the mess cleaned up. On Friday, as I was checking out, I let her know it hadn't been done. If you go, just remember that you can place cups of vinegar around a room to get rid of the smell of cigarettes. Mine was a no smoking room, but that doesn't stop some people.

This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I was in town having surgery. I have never seen so many roaches in one room. There was also spider and cob webs in the room so I know housekeeping have not been dusting or cleaning. The hotel was not accomdating at all. They moved us to another room that had equipment that was not working. It was a bad experience. I will never be back and I do not reccommend to any one else.
