We had been going to this office for over 7 years and our family has always used Edgewood for our animals care. This last visit was extremely disappointing for our family. Our dog needed an appointment for an ear infection and we were told they had 4-5 openings for that day. I scheduled an appointment, under the impression that this was an office visit. I asked who our dog would be seeing and was provided with three names of the vets that we normally see. Knowing that Dr. Ponzetti had left, I did not want our dog to see whoever new provider they had. I had to have a family member bring our dog into the office as I was at work for the day. I get a call from my family member saying the visit was $141 because the dog's visit was considered a sick appointment ($58), he was given a steroid shot ($18), he was given oral antibiotics ($40) and he was given an ear wash ($23). The steroid shot was NOT necessary and neither was the "ear wash". We always deny the ear wash to the point we are not even asked if we want it anymore. My family member wasn't even asked if she wanted it, it was just given as if he had to have it to get better. We have NEVER been charged so much for an OFFICE visit before. It would have been cheaper to take our dog to the ER vet then to go to Edgewood. Also, we didn't see any of the vets I was told our dog would see, we saw the new vet. Our family was taken advantage of by this new vet. I requested a call from one of the vets to discuss this and was laughed at by the receptionist, Michelle, when I expressed my concerns. I asked that myself or my husband receive a call back and she refused to take my husband's number and insisted that only I would receive a call. I received a call back from Dr. Rust and was told that this new vet did as he should and that was that. She would not do anything to correct the way our family was treated or even apologize for how we were treated and taken advantage of. This office is a money hungry place that takes advantage of your family. We will NEVER return to this office. I am extremely disappointed that this is how clients of over 7 years are treated.

Great veterinarians. They care about your pets and you as well. They work with you if you are having a hard time. My dog has been sick for years. They finally figured out what was wrong. They take great care of my dog.

This place sucks!! Don't bring your pets here! They have no clue what they are doing. They killed both of my dogs because they don't know how to diagnose right. It took them three weeks to figure out my dog had bone cancer when our friend (who's a vet) saw a picture of the x-rays over iMessage from three weeks earlier! By then it was too late to save him. DON'T BRING YOUR PETS HERE!!!!

A true team of incredible veterinarians. They are all very personable, compassionate and professional. I could have chosen a veterinarian closer to home but I am happy to make the drive knowing the level of service I will receive when I arrive. I've been making that drive for 10 years.

Just started bringing one of my cats here and I'm already thoroughly impressed. I just received a call from the veterinarian who we saw the other day to ask how he's doing. Everyone there is lovely and as long as I'm in Maine I won't be going anywhere else with my pets.
