We have been members here for just over a year and we love it. Very friendly staff and great for the entire family. We go to the Father Daughter Sweetheart dance every year and we have a blast.

For a community center, not bad; basically what they are. Large selection of activities and classes. Child care and camps seem nice. And sports teams as well. Not really for hard core athletes on a workout regiment since the place is a bit small for that with limited machines, not to mention kids running around, but great for price.

By far the dirtiest fitness club in the country.Locker room, bathroom and showers are worst than any public fittness club you could imagine.People leave their underware on the floor.Some don't  shower before entering the pool, sauna or steam bath.People fart while in jacuzzi.Showers offten are out of soaps.Towels are dirty

I went to the Y today and when I was done, heading to a table to eat a protein bar before I walked home, the woman behind the desk... Irma or Maria (her and another woman were talking about how the hurricane was named after her)...said, good work out Natasha? I looked at her and laughed BC I #1 looked like a truck hit me BC I worked out too hard and #2, I had a name. I wasnt customer, hey you, a client or a consumer. I was specifically named and recognized. And she did this for every person coming and going. This is amazing. Why can't it be like this everywhere? She needs a raise, a hug, a vacation, something special, to be recognized for recognizing people and asking how they are doing. Not as a passing by question but as a genuine concern and care. Thanks for hiring her!

Great value for the money spent. There are not too many other gyms in St. Louis that offer the amenities the YMCA does for the price. It has a cardio room, free weight room, rooms for multiple classes, basketball court, indoor track and pool with water park. At my location there is also a ping pong and chess club. 
  A big plus for me is the free weight room. I am an admitted meathead and this room has just about everything a gym nerd like me needs to be happy. I almost cried when I saw they had slam balls that you can actually SLAM and not get talked to by the front desk. 
  The indoor track is sort of small and has a weird lump on the curves, but it is usable at slow speeds.  Also the locker rooms can get messy during peak times. Other than a few minor gripes I am very happy with my investment
