I know Turkish cuisine quite well from traveling and my upbringing in a large European city with a large population of Turkish immigrants, who have a great influence on the local restaurant scene there. Efes does a great job delivering good food fast to their customers, but one can sense that they serve a large volume of carry-out customers. This means that authentic flavors are watered down a bit to please a more diverse crowd of students and other folks. This is not necessarily bad as the food is of decent quality and tasty, but someone familiar with authentic Turkish flavors will not feel 100% at home. Nevertheless, as carry-out customers, we enjoy their food a lot whenever we feel like a good Doner sandwich etc - it is solid, and the portions are generous. We also used Efes as a caterer for a party, and it was an excellent experience. Tons of good food was delivered well ahead of time, and the quality as well as the selection were really spot on, in particular since we had a lot of guests who were totally unfamiliar with Turkish dishes. Everyone praised the food. And at the price per person offered, we were more than happy. I would make it 4.5 stars if this was possible...

The staff is extremely rude downstairs taking orders, it's like they are forced to take your orders, don't seem like they want to work there or care for your business. It was very cold while we were waiting for our food so I asked them to let us go upstairs. The cashier didn't even ask us to dine in and said he didn't know we want to eat here. Upstairs was even worst. I brought my wife to grab a bite to eat right after we had a baby, doctor gave her a diet plan at the hospital, she brought a tiny snack from home along with food that we both ordered, waiters refused to let her eat her diet recommended snack at their restaurant even though we ordered 2 dishes from there. Tried to explain she just came out of pregnancy and we are ordering 2 dishes but they had an attitude and refused. They also seem to dislike my Asian color and only really wanted certain type of people coming to eat. To all women be careful of this place, I really hope there is a women's protest on pregnancy at this place. They also need training on discrimination against others as I felt like there is discrimination here. Food was okay so will not bash on that but then again it was just ok, nothing to brag about.

Would recommend Babagonoosh for starters and Iskandari kebab for main course. They've got amazing Turkish coffee too. The staff is nice and friends and I liked their ambiance too. A good place for a nice elegant dinner

I've dined in and ordered out from here numerous times. I've never been disappointed with the quality of their food, my favorite being the lamb beef gyro plate. You must try all the desserts on their menu, they are all delicious and unique. The cuisine is very authentic, and much better than the other Mediterranean restaurants down the street. The upstairs space is beautiful. They also have a large room for private parties. They also do catering orders for events. Paying/splitting the bill is sometimes hectic because they can only take a limited amount of cards and do not do separate checks (unless you take your bill downstairs). I still have to try their Princeton location!

The atmosphere was great and the food was wonderful. Fr OK m appetizers to dessert. I recommend the mixed grill for entree and the baklava for dessert
