Very accurate average rating. Not bad but not worth going back. I tried the chicken burrito which comes covered in red sauce. The sauce wasn't bad but didn't taste homemade. If that's not the case then maybe it was just too salty for my taste. I mean I ate most of it, it wasn't bad. The one complaint do I have is the tortilla was soggy and gooey. It reminded me of store bought flour tortillas that taste like what I'd imagine cooked play doh tastes like.

Mexican restaurant with a magnificent view of the Pacific Ocean. If possible, at sunset, be seated on the patio; the view and the backlit succulent garden, are both dramatic and romantic. Inside, the West wall is mostly glass and offers a similar view in inclement weather. The restaurant claims to present meal in the California/New Mexico style. (Richly flavored with a gentle spicy kick.) The server is knowledgeable. The Chef delivers. The menu offers vegan/vegetarian meals as well as, conventional meat and dairy options.  The chips and mildly spicy, cilantro/tomato salsa, served to the table, is delicious. Preparation is slow but is worth the wait. The beans are vegan. The rice contains chicken. The tofu fajita is delicious. Everything's wheelchair-accessible including the bathrooms. Parking is free and easy.

Service was good. Food was good but a bit pricy for what we got. (Rice and Beans are extra) Also, there was an 18% gratuity added to the bill. I’m not sure if that is standard practice or because there were 6 of us.  (I had the Pollo Cilantro)

I'm sorry to say but I don't recommend this place for anyone. We had terrible experience and very embarrassing situation. I ordered some fish which came over cooked  and extremely hard and dry, believe me!!! The fish seems like it was done 30 days ago and they reheated it more than 30 minutes in the oven to serve. I asked the waiter to return the fish to the kitchen and bring me grilled chicken for second option. At the end of that horrible dinner they barely said " apologize or sorry. "
If you go to visit Hurst Castle I recommend excellent restaurants in Cambria downtown.
