First and foremost, VERY nice people working  there; but nothing else was desirable. The menu is very limited, which may be expected of a new establishment. Unfortunately, the food was quite bland in general. As for the environment, it was freezing lol (bring a coat). There was smoke seeping into the dining area which was not pleasurable as you can imagine. Again, I cannot stress enough how pleasant they were... I just hope they can figure everything else out and I'll gladly be a return customer.

My family and i come here every friday, and we absolutely love this place! They have absolutely amazing shrimp fajitas and a good selection for a kids menu! The atmosphere is great and the staff here is amazing! I would absolutely recommend this place for anybody who enjoys food :) 
Everything i have tried on the menu so far has been delicious ! Tonight im trying the salmon!!

I would not reccomend this restaurant to friends and family.  I would not eat there again even if I was given a gift certificate or card for a free meal.

The menu is very limited. What they do serve is not good. Nearly 50% of the menu items were American.

The beans are soupy, the chicken and steak are bland, and the salsa is watery. A Velveeta-like cheese sauce was used on nachos.

They give about two cups of rice with each plate, about 1/4 of a cup of sour cream, and a cup of shredded wet lettuce.

It is freezing cold and smoky in the restaurant.  The smoke from the kitchen all creeps into the dining area.

The seats, booths, tables, and decor were all outdated and old.

I had to go home and immediately wash my hair and clothes (including the jacket I wore while dining because it was freezing).  My husband, who is normally hot also had to put on a jacket.

I was looking forward to this new place; was sadly disappointed.  It was bad; really bad. I doubt El Nopal will stay in business long.

Single Pro: a bartender the night I went made a good margarita. Buuuuuut, there is no drink menu. They have a bar...just no menu.

The options are very limited. The burrito and tacos were some of the few Mexican options on the menu, and could only be ordered in ground beef, chicken or turkey. When my burrito came out it was just served as a burrito on a plate cut in half (wish I would have took a picture); beans, rice and salad were not included with it like you would get at a typical Mexican restaurant. The taste was okay but it was nothing special. I will not be returning.

The staff and food is excellent! This is my 3rd time in 2 weeks here.  Loving the place,  and brought my sweetie tonight!
