Great State Park, beautifully maintained, very clean, pull thru sites available. Reasonable rates. We called ahead for reservations and were told we didn't need one for that day, they were wide open. When we arrived we were told they were full, due to high winds a lot of people had decided to get off the roads and the park was full. Needless to say we were pretty frustrated since we had tried to reserve early that morning. Eventually they found us a spot, so all ended well.

Such a beautiful view and a great place to build some memories. Stop on over and jump in the lake and have a swim with the whole family. Take pictures under the nice warm sun. It's always a perfect time to be there. You could never go wrong with taking a quick trip there

It's Feb 22, quite will do on and off. 30's lows and 50's highs. Not ideal weather. But the rv park is huge, spaces are private, the facilities are cleaned 3x a day or something. Nice warm shower. Other than wind not a single noise issue. Nice playground for kids but I wish drivers would slow down.

Hello, my name is Billy. I am a camp host for Elephant Butte State Park. I love volunteering here as well as the other State Parks. I highly recommend camping here with your family and friends. Everyone who camps here usually leave high ratings and become frequent visitors. I am looking forward to hosting your next camping experience here at EBLSP. See you all soon.

Love my country but fear my government where some of the volunteers are real idiots!!! Showers are extremely cold!!! Not very clean!!! The lake itself is the best New Mexico has offer in the south part of the state. January 2018 showed an increase in water level in the lake due to water release from the Cochiti dam for repairs. At this time of year there is no water flowing out of this dam. So there is no fishing below the dam. Hot springs in nearby Truth or Consequences are very nice.
