Absolutely lovely spot. Great vibes, and everyone is amazing. Special shout out to Bridgette- she was extra attentive, and made the experience that much more special.
Hey Fancy pants, oh you talking to me! I guess you are! Some co workers and I heard the rooftop here was top notch so we wanted to check it out! Naturally, no one told us, that the rooftop pool and lounge was actually on the 7th floor, not the R button in the elevator.. so the next thing you know we are stuck walking flights of stairs down to the beautiful ground level bar! The place is called Departure, and has an old school looking flying machine above the bar! Yes fancy people drinking, fancy drinks all around the bar! Our waitress was super sweet and we told her about our attempt to get upstairs! So after she brought our round of drinks, she said she would get the manager to take us up to the "rooftop" bar himself.. Which was very sweet and wonderful service! The drinks were great, I had beer but they are pricey! If you want to hang with fancy pants folks I did see a women with red leather socks under her high heels? you gotta pay the price! Finally we did get up stairs to check out the outdoor bar thanks to the manager exclusive tour.. It was a beautiful view as you see downtown Denver in the distance, and during the day I guarantee this would be a legit view of the mountains! There is a nice bar upstairs and a beautiful pool! The manager said they pride themselves on having some of the best bartenders in town and they even have a small basement bar that is reservation only! I dig this place for sure, and would go back.. But next time I might see if someone else wants to get this round.. $$ :
I give the marketing team props for making me visit. Unfortunately, this fell wayyyy short of the expectation. Lots of great ideas, but poor execution. Drinks - creatively named but not particularly special flavors. Touting a "craft" cocktail focus but lacking nuance...or flavor altogether. WEAK drinks & I'm usually a 2 and done - I had 4 in 90 mins on a hot day and barely caught a buzz. Food - ceviche citrus was rancid, kabobs were cartoonishly large, melon salad appeared to be old/slimy pieces combined with freshly cut. Even still, that was the best thing we ate as long as we steered clear from the chunky/cheesy/crema sauce on the plate. Ambiance - They've invested a lot into the general aesthetic / furnishings. Nice greenery & comfortable seating. View leaves something to be desired, especially compared to the Rooftop @ the Jacquard within walking distance. Selfie wall seemed obligatory & tacky. Pool is small, but the cabanas are gorgeous. Staff - friendly, but not polished. Crowd - Midsummer Friday @ 730ish = virtually missing. Picked up a little closer to 9 PM but thought it would have been THE happening spot. Another example of "Tictok vs. Reality." Most tables and bar seats were empty. Thought maybe it just wasn't a night many were out, or a lull, but then we stopped by the Jacquard Hotel's Rooftop Bar and couldn't believe how packed it was. We proceeded to enjoy their rooftop, as it had the fun, upbeat Friday bar vibe / scene we were seeking from the beginning. And better drinks.
We enjoy coming here and the froze is pretty stellar. Typically the ambiance is okay and you can find decent views off the rooftop. During COVID this is the first place we’ve been that’s very well staffed. However the service still is very very slow with staff socializing more than working. With that said, the staff is nice. I agree with other reviewers when charging $15-18 per drink, let’s find some actual glassware. Also it would be wise to invest in new cushions and clean up a bit.
This is one of my favorite places in Denver. Get the Froze - trust me. It will become your go to drink. The beet hummus is delicious. There isn't a great view of the mountains, but the atmosphere is still good. Service can sometimes be a bit slow, even when they are adequately staffed, but it's still a great scene and perfect place to bring out of town guests.
Nice views and vibe but the cocktails were only okay. I will return and maybe just get wine or a beer instead.
Disappointing overall. Charged $16 for a margarita that came in a plastic cup not even all the way full. Served another drink and the server said “this might not be good, we are still figuring out our syrups and ratios”. We saw the bartender trying it through a straw to see if it was severable...charged us full price for both drinks. Tables and scenery were dingy and looked like they weren’t ready to be open again for the season. There are way better drinks in restaurants through out cherry creek...do not go to this one.
Their cocktails are average. Views are great. Beetroot hummus is yummy. White wine sangria is very mediocre. Wines are good choice. Their champagne is very good. Best views, nice place to sit and hang out.
$15 dollar drinks that suck. Tried 3 different drinks before I gave up.
Great drinks and appetizers! It is a bit overpriced but the ambiance is nice. Views totally depend where you sit so it's not as good if you're blocked
