We have visited other veterinary emergency care and in my opinion, no other place comparable place compares to this place. The staff is, hands down, wonderful. You can truly tell how much they enjoy what they do. We unfortunately had to put one of our pets down. They thoroughly went through all options and provided us with ample time to think things through. They are very compassionate. They understand just how much their patients are loved. I highly recommend this place for all your pet emergency visits.

Thank goodness I've only had to bring my dogs in a couple of times but, when I have; Everyone has been friendly and professional.  My last visit we brought in Pancake, our 2 1/2 yr old pittie mix for some stitches.  
She has a habit of pulling our firewood off of our stacked pile and playing with and leaving it all over the yard.  She must have stepped on a piece that broke off and sliced the inside of her paw.

When I let her in, that's when I noticed the blood....rushed her over to the emergency clinic and they took such good care of her.  Very professional and caring.  We are very fortunate to have a few animal ER clinics around us but, I will only go to Elk Grove Specialty Clinic.

A wonderful place! So caring and friendly and always meet our needs. We have an active weimaraner who always finds trouble and Elk Grove Veterinary is always there to help us out.

I wanted to share my experience.  I called this vet in the morning saying that I needed a humane euthanasia for my 15 year old dog.  I wan treated with such kindness and compassion from the staff and the vet.  This was after I called banfield and they would not fit me in.  This is for a dog that could not walk and was not eating.  Euthanasia was the right thing to do and Elk Grove treated me very kindly.  Thank you for making this horrible situation a little easier.

I've only been here two or three times and it was only because of the time of day or time of week where my primary vet was not opened and I wanted my pets to be seen. After my last experience here I will not be returning.. Our cat was hospitalized with a urinary blockage and needed care immediately. After paying around $1500 for LESS THAN 24 HOURS. Monday morning I came to pick up my cat as they said he was peeing fine and able to come back home they prescribed me pain meds and that's all. Within two hours of having him home he's squirting blood STILL unable to fully empty his bladder. I called them to be told "he's fine just keep an eye on him." I had my boyfriend call to demand something be done correctly. They said "you can bring him back again we can just sadate him." I decided to take him to our primary vet who REHOSPITALIZED him where he got the treatment he needed and is doing so much better.  Blue Pearl is not only overpriced but they genuinely don't care about the well being of your pet.
