Story

Ellas is an authentic Greek restaurant founded on the premise that fast food can be delicious, healthy, and fresh.

Newly opened in July 2016, Ellas is located in Bradenton, Florida. Bobby Stamatopoulos and his son Grigorios strive to provide the finest Greek cuisine available. All food is prepared using certified extra virgin olive oil from their family's estate in southwestern Greece. No shortcuts or synthetic ingredients (chicken/beef base, salt, sugar, preservatives, MSG, canola oil, etc.) are taken and everything is non-GMO.

Ellas combines the freshest ingredients to create genuine Greek fare in the most efficient and quickest way possible. Ellas serves crisp, flavorful, refreshing, food...fast. Our goal is to fulfill meals within a few minutes of being ordered while still maintaining strict taste, quality, and cultural standards.

First time visit yesterday and food was delicious!  Everything we had was so freshly made and authentic Greek!  Cannot wait to go back again!  I wish they were located out east in Bradenton..closer to home as there ignoring like it here!

My wife & I just got home from eating here and to say we where disappointed is an understatement! Were do I even begin?!?! The first 'Red Flag' should have been that at 530 on a Fri night we were the only ones there when we walked in. First the young lady that took our order was not the least bit helpful. She did not up-sell anything, we had to ask about sides & drinks coming with our order (they don't by the way). Then after she swiped my card she turned the screen to me and said, as she was walking away, to answer a question and then sign it. I signed it and turned the screen around, when she finally came back up to the front she walked right by us and went to take someone else's order. She did not even hand me the receipt, I had to reach behind the counter and grab it. She did not say "Go ahead and have a seat and I'll bring your food out when it is ready...." or anything like that. On top of that she did not even say 'Thank you'. As for the food? Garbage!  The only thing that was hot & fresh were the fries. The gyro meat was barely room temp and was dry as a bone. God only knows how long it was sitting in the warming pan so it is obviously not made fresh. The pita bread was dry and borderline stale. We both had tea to drink and it was nothing more than fermented instant tea. My wife took 2 drinks of hers and threw out the rest & did not even eat half of her Gyro it was so bad. As we were sitting there choking down the food my wife watched the girl who took our order handle credit cards and possibly money then go and handle food with out changing her gloves or washing her hands. We are both surprised at the 4 & 5 star reviews b/c the food & service were awful! For the $20 we spent there we could have gone to McD's and gotten better food for a few dollars less.

Excellent food for a great price. The service was wonderful also. The atmosphere was clean and pleasant

This restaurant is getting a 1 star review, not for the food. Infact the food was pretty decent i would give it 4 stars.
The owner/manager or who ever the surly older lady that was sitting at the front table berating her employees in front of customers had me very up set. I feel if you want to operate a successful strong business  your employees need to come first. Happy employees equal happy returning customer. I listened to the employees complain about her for the better part of my meal. As they had every right to from what i saw while i was in there. Now understand why the help wanted sign was in the window. Please try to treat your employees with respect because they are the ones who keep your business open.
