Ellensburg KOA Journey

Story

Set on the Yakima River, this KOA is a great base camp for fishing or rafting. You're well-situated for touring the Clymer Museum of Art, searching for the Ellensburg blue agate, enjoying a concert at the Gorge Amphitheatre, hiking the John Wayne Pioneer Trail, stargazing on Table Mountain or visiting Roslyn, where Northern Exposure was filmed. Central Washington University's campus is also located in town. Visit during Jazz in the Valley the last weekend in July and the Ellensburg Rodeo on Labor Day weekend. This KOA features wooded sites, some right on the river. Check into the cozy Deluxe Cabins (air-conditioned) or settle into a prime spot and relax. Wireless internet is conveniently located throughout the park.

Clean and well kept. Staff was great. Clean facilities. A little noisey next to the road. But, didn't care once we set up and crashed for the first night. We been on the road for awhile. Started from Arizona went north to Natl Parks. Down coast of California 5 week trip.

The Ellensburg KOA is very well maintained. The trees and wooded area was a nice treat. Good place for our dog- lots of places to walk. Close to restaurants and gas. The road is somewhat noisy during the day but very quiet at night. We stayed in October and the park was not full, so our stay was very low-key. We would stay here again.

Passing through and stayed two nights here. Very warm during day but had great shade tree on our site so was able to sit outside and read book. Pool was great too and staff very friendly and helpful. Noise from Hwy but not so bad. Easy on off from I90. Would stay here again. They keep all the grassy areas watered so everything is pretty.

An awesome camping site that is kept immaculately clean with a pristine pool and restroom facilities, a wonderful play area for kids, and excellent service.

Kind of awkward turn in, BUT, its a good campground for RV or tents, theres a pool and the bathrooms have showers that are nice. Also there's wifi so that's cool I guess. People are nice too. Not much forest though, more of a cleared area by the river.
