Our senior dog had an "episode" of what appeared to be a seizure or stroke at 7:30pm on Friday night. We brought her in and she was seen immediately. Between diagnostics and clinical assessment, it was determined that she has an underlying issue that caused her "episode." X-rays showed she has an enlarged heart, and it likely caused her to throw a blood clot. Yes, I would say the cost adds up quickly, but it's an emergency clinic that costs a lot to operate, and they are very upfront with what the costs will be. I have a passion for taking in senior dogs and I have dealt with situations in the past when a vet would be less likely to work as hard to diagnose and treat because of the dog's old age. This was NOT the case with our old girl this weekend. Dr. Leek never acted like she was too old to bother. He was caring, attentive, and knowledgeable. He called me twice to update me on her condition, and she was only there for 24 hours. I have used this clinic in the past, 3 other times, and have not had a bad experience. I think we are fortunate to have this clinic here, because let's face it, it's always the evening, weekend, and/or holiday when something bad happens. Thank you to Dr. Leek and the caring and attentive staff who took care of Maggie Friday night.

They help saved my nine year old baby with congestive heart failure and this morning he was his old self again and I will forever be greatful even if I just have him for another month will definitely be bringing all of my dogs here from now on for emergencies. They were so kind and caring towards my dog!!! But the ladies in the front referred to him as his Illness rather than his name.

My dog had been having intermittent stomach issues over the last couple of months. He hasn’t been seen as a bland diet usually cleared him up. When he had a fourth occurrence in two months I thought it was time to have him seen. Of course, it was on a Sunday and my regular vet is 90 minutes away so I decided to give Springfield Emergency Vet a try. The staff was great, we got right in and everyone was friendly. Dr. Leek was also great. Everything was explained to me in detail and cost is presented up front before any treatment is done, so no surprises at checkout. It is more expensive than a regular vet would be, but that is to be expected with an emergency clinic. I saw it as paying for peace of mind that there were no underlying major issues with my dog right then, instead of having to wait to see my regular vet. Overall a good expierence, and will use them again in the future, though I hope I never need to!

This past Saturday night, we arrived home at 1:15AM to one of our dogs being very sick. He had thrown up & had made a mess all over the house. There was blood coming out both ends... Anyway, we loaded up our car and made the trip from Branson to the Emergency Vet in Springfield because we knew this was our only option. Upon our arrival, the assistant was fabulous! The Dr. (Dr. Leek) was excellent and they took care of our baby boy. He had to spend the night there on an IV, but we knew he was in good hands. They were friendly, attentive, upfront about the costs, knowledgeable, etc...if I ever have to have another emergency - I will definitely go back. We recommend them to everyone!
