Basically, There is no Employment Security Department at this time, only a fake website. I have spent months trying to get them to cooperate. Their job is to not pay a dime and hide behind their online system while people starve. It's a complete scam and needs to be stopped immediately. We pay unemployment taxes for what reason? They have asked me multiple times about a company I never worked for and it just goes in a circle forever after I respond. They ask the same question over and over again. No thinking, no common sense, and no money to live on while unemployed. This is a complete and total disaster! Don't expect to get unemployment money while living in Washington State now. I wonder where all the saved money that used to be paid out to the unemployed citizens is going now? They must be saving millions of dollars!

Awful! If they screw up. You are screwed. It is impossible to dispute there mistakes. All automated and there website is shutdown or "experiencing difficulties" constantly. Then they charge you interest and penalties on top of there blunders.

Worst government office I've ever had to deal with. I filed an extended benefits application to finish college on October 19th 2017. Did not get anything other than I have to wait, until Jan 12th. I filed the appeal Jan 15th. Found out after it was sent to the Adjudication office that it wasn't processed by ESD until Feb 14th. My phone court date was April 6th. I did get someone at the adjudication office to comment on how it appears everything ESD does is winding up on their desks. By April 12th I had the judges ruling, in my favor. The letter was received by ESD the following week (slow postal service I guess). I contacted ESD to see how much longer, they said 2 to 3 weeks. Now past three weeks I get a cryptic message to another plea that it will be 3 to 6 weeks. Can't tell if that meant from the letter date or from today. Bottom line is, because of all the delay's my base UI ran out April 7th. Savings is gone, I've maybe $150 to my name. So do I drop school and got to McDonalds or what. All Avoidable if they had just processed the claim in a timely manor. I would have had this settled before spending 6 grand on college classes and I now may not finish. This is a disgrace. Our taxes go up. Foreigners get free rides, but I can't even get what's due from money's I've paid (don't let them tell you it was the employer, we all know that came out of our pocket) for the last 4 decades. Now I know why so many people are cracking. It's the insanity of living in this state.

Employment security? That's a joke. Now that they don't take actual phone calls on Tuesday and Thursday, I've spent weeks just trying to speak with someone to no avail. Their system is constantly overloaded with all the people they won't listen to on Tuesday and Thursday. No service. No care. Basically I feel like I should just go f#&* myself. I definitely don't feel secure.

To whom it may concern. It is clear to me now that the Employment Insecurity Department no longer functions except to find reasons not to pay due benefits, and only serves to protect employers. After the last wrongful decision of the appeal, I have decided that the ESD is setup not to help claimants whatsoever except to FIND reasons to deny due benefits. In short, there is no way for me to win. There simply is no possible way that whatever I say will make any difference. Therefore, I am surrendering all attempts at getting my money. It is clear that you just don't want to pay no matter what I say. Rather than waste another $10,000 to deny me the $682 that I am owed, I choose simply not to pursue any further and waste any more of the taxpayer's money. There is just nothing I can do to win, especially when my former supervisors flat-out lied to you about me quitting Greenwood care center. They did not appear at the appeal hearing because they knew I was right and could not tell a lie directly to the judge. I said that I called in sick the morning of the 28th of October 2017. The department wasted unknown man hours only to set me up with another denial based on the lies told by Greenwood Care Center former employees Nikki Graham and Jasmina Focic. Why do you even exist if not to help claimants meet minimum expenses during their job search, a wrongful termination that was not my fault? Why do you people simply not believe what I'm telling you after all that I said? What is wrong with you? Seriously. I am convinced now that the Employment Insecurity Department, once again, simply does not function. How could I possibly rely on a failed department in the future should I become unemployed through no fault of my own? Let all workers across the United States beware of Washington State Employement Insecurity Department. Don't you dare become fired or laid off in this state, because the ESD simpy will not pay. They always take the side of the employer no matter what, and the level of contempt I feel for their failure is off the charts.
