Pleasantly surprised by the level of courtesy and professionalism shown by the agent who helped me sort through my Medicaid app. I was in and out in under 2 hours as well. Security officers greeted me- and were polite and informative. Would have given 5 stars, but unfortunately the information clerk was your average, miserable, and mean, government employee. Guess they can’t all fall short of the stereotype. Overall, credit is due for efforts being made to create a better experience when citizens must encounter state and government led agencies.

Terrible service. It's sad to say but if ur not black u don't get help. I think they should treat us all the same. I have this place. I need fs but im not wasting my time there no more.

Essex County Welfare Department,have people waiting for hours. And on top of that,they always loses paper work. Because they are lazy workers,and they bring there problem from home. The only work I see,that help people is Ms. Perry. And she from South Clinton! She do more work than any of them.They need to get rid of them,fake ass workers! Should i say any more!!

I was attended by Ms. uzoamaka ariofolo, very rude and unprofessional, I was interviewed by her and all the time she was laughting at me, being sarcastic, and giving me the worst customer service ever, I know I was asking for help but I didn't deserve the bad treatment she gave me, after all I spoke with a supervisor to let her know the situation, but I don't think they would even call her to attecion... She talked to me like if I was doing doing something illegal while I was just asking her for help.
