These investogators treat the victim like he/she is the offender! Workere have horrible attitudes, are rude and have no interest in helping consumers who have been wronged. The burden shoukd be on the perpetrator not the victim. This departement is only interested in high profile cases that make the news.

I submitted a complete application and heard back within a couple of weeks. Everyone I dealt with, from lobby security officers to the office personnel in the Engineering department, were polite and professional. Little bit of a wait time upstairs (about 10-15 minutes until I was helped) but definitely not an unpleasant visit. The only sour part was the 20 minutes it took to find parking around the area.

Incredibly frustrating to talk to ANYONE at this office. On multiple occasions I was intentionally disconnected because they could not help me or they did not want to help me with something as simple as applying for a state physical therapy license. The office is so poorly run that my application was delayed for 1 month because the staff did not update their system to include the documentation I had sent to them. Essentially their laziness affected my ability to work and provide for my family. Completely unsatisfied with my experience with The NJ Consumer Affairs Division.

Worst place to file a complaint. Just a BIG waste of time! After 3 months of "rewieving" they are sending a letter to tell me to file it with Consumer Financial Protection Bureau... Guess what?!?!? I alredy did with them and they were telling me to file with Consumer Affair.. They are just passing it to each other to stay in bussness!!! Dont waste your time!

The worst. I do not think these people are consumers outside of their jobs. Always ignorant and talk to you like dirt. Takes forever to get a response and God forbid you ask about your complaint. DOES ANYONE IN THIS STATE EVEN CHECK THESE REVIEWS OR MONITOR THE CALLS??? I GUESS NOT.
