The Estill County Fire Department covers approx. 250 sq. miles and protect more than 15,500 citizens of Estill County

The Estill County Fire Department will provide fire protection and suppression to the citizens of Estill County, to the level of training which has been received by its members and with the equipment provided.
And provide a Fire Prevention Program to the extent that is practical and to the best of our ability.
Will provide a rescue program and/ or assistance comparable to the training and ability of our members and to the extent that our equipment allows us.
Will assist the community in a manner required to the extent practical and feasibel within the Fire Department's Standard Operating Guidelines.
To assist neighboring Fire Departments with mutual aid to the extent that Estill County is not left in danger.
to obtain the latest in Training, Firefighting, Rescue and Hazard Materials response techniques to the best of our ability and within our budgetary and practical allowance.
To be financially responsible with the county's money provided and the equipment owned by this Fire Department.
To maintain a Fire Department that this community can be proud of and to strive to bring no dishonor upon the Fire Department or the community served by it.
Equipment: 2005 Kenworth Pierce Pumper with 1250 gpm pump and 1000 gal tank, 2003 Ford 550 4x4 Brush Truck/ Mini Pumper with 355 gpm pump and 300 gal tank, 2000 GMC 7500 Tanker with 400 pgm pump and 2000 gal tank, 1995 4900 International Tanker with 400 gpm pump and 2000 gal tank, 1991 4700 International Tanker with 125 gpm pump and 1500 gal tank, 1983 4700 International Midi-Pumper with 750 gpm and 750 tank and a 2007 Yamaha 660 Rhino.
