If you go into the store they DO give you a flyer that states the information you wished you had. I have consigned for over 10 years and shopped there for over 13! I have had numerous friends who also consigned. There is a waiting list for a great reason. The owner cares about how business is done. I've had things rejected that seemed strange to me but no biggie- take them elsewhere- build up a base of shops you take your item to. Yes, they are picky. That is why I shop there. No one wants older, out of date merchandise with perhaps zippers that don't work or buttons missing.... Consignors need to just make sure clothes are VERY clean, up to date, and in great shape... this is NOT Goodwill which takes almost any item no matter what--you are correct in that. I respect the reasoning on what they take. I get great a shopping atmosphere, nice variety of goods, simple, easy to understand pricing structure, and pleasant staff. I never fail to come out with something and feel I scored a great deal! Last there on March 22, 2010.

Called this morning to ask if Evergreen was accepting baby items. Told them what I had. These were brand name and well taken care of things. She asked how old the items were (3 yrs) and said they were accepting baby items, clean them up and bring them in. I spent the next 1 1/2 hours getting the stuff from my basement, cleaning them and loading it all into my car. I drove 30 minutes to the shop with my toddler. After a salesperson instructed me to unload it and carry it all into the store, a woman came out and said it was not clean enough take back home also one of the items was "not a good seller" so they couldnt accept it. Why not just say on the phone, unless it is new with tags or appears to be in new condition we do not accept? Why not create a few guidelines on a flyer and post it on your door, or a flyer to mail to potential donators outlining acceptable conditions and items? Instead the salesperson told me, "if we spent all our time answering these questions on the phone we would waste all day". Translation: EVERGREEN WOULD RATHER WASTE YOUR TIME THAN DO THEIR JOB. If you are looking for a place to get rid of good condition, but used, baby items this is not the place. Better off going to Goodwill and getting a receipt or having a yard sale!!

i went for the first time today, just moved to area. They welcomed me to the area and the store, they explained how they work and the pricing. The prices are good and get better by date, if you want to take the chance of coming back for the item. ex: today it is 2.00 next week its 1.75 and two weeks from now its 1.25, but it might not be there. I got a great skirt for my 8 month old daughter, who the store owners took time to ohh and ahh over and even watch her while i walked around the store!! They have a WIDE variety of items from new candles to womans maternity and regular clothes to adult shoes and even purses. Of course childrens clothes, shoes, toys and accessories. Loved it and WILL be going back!
