Employees don't get paid enough but great people their will take care of your stuff like its theirs your in good hands if you choose excel. We get paid a percent of the job which isn't much of anything. I believe McDonald's pays better. But the employees go above and behind to take care of your things.

The salesman Shawn P. promised my antiques would be cared for especially. No, the first they did was put my table in a bind and three of its six legs came off.  An antique repair shop will have to fix it. The O.M. Randy sent the driver and truck crew to pack our house. They had very little if any experience packing boxes. They filled wardore boxes 2/3rds full then tried to hang our clothes in them, broke lots of hangers and all our clothes are a wrinkled mess. Cigarette smoke was trapped in lots of the boxes. They didn't pack by room. They wrote "Guest Room" on our children's boxes. Besides the fore mentioned table other broken items include our patio table, cereal bowls, lamp and badly dented shade from stuffing in a box too small for it. My hope chest was transported upside down. My light beige sofa has huge sweat stain on it. They took a large dirty box from my garage filled it with our daughters clothes, dumped it in a wardrobe box them tried to hang her clothes on top of the dirty box. There was no reason for using a dirty box they brought and charged us for plenty of boxes and even left several unused new boxes behind. The day of the move Randy called me and let me know our stuff would not be delivered without payment. My husband's company was paying for the move and Shawn had been sent the paperwork weeks earlier but hadn't forwarded to Randy or their accounting department so my husband, while at work, had to spend time on the phone with Randy getting this straight. Not to mention that Shawn told us one date and Randy had to work as close to it as he could because Shawn did not tell him. Way to dtop the ball AGAIN Shawn. As we continue to unpack we find, even though Ron insisted they got everything over and over, they did not!! 
They left my 22 inch porcelain eagle that was in its original box, our son's brand new bedspread that they folded and put in the middle of the l/r floor, they left our daughter's bedroom rug and capiz shell windchime, they left my front porch windchime and decorative birdhouse. They left everything we had stored on the open shelf over our washer and dryer and it was not detergent or cleaning stuff. Excel was the most expensive movers out of 4 quotes, we DID NOT GET WHAT WE PAID FOR! I could go on but I think you can make an informed decision from these details.

Excel Moving and Storage moved me to my last house. I was pretty impressed with how “industrious” they were. Got to work immediately after arriving, and didn’t slow down until everything was done. The price was also a little lower than I expected for what I got, and that’s always good too.

Great family movers. We had a ton of stuff to move, but it was no problem with them to do the job. They were able to fit it all in one trip, and it was all moved for a very impressive price. I would definitely work with this Charleston moving company again.

I have used excel moving and storage on two occasions, and both times I was very satisfied. These Charleston movers were punctual, hard-working, and everything was ready when we got to the new house. Just a good experience all around.
