My wife and I have gone to Exeter Jewelers numerous times over the years. Mario is very professional and is the only one we've trust to do quality work on our jewelry. He will be honest with you, if something should be repaired, or what the risks and costs are. The same goes for Denise. She knows the business, the customers, and is very helpful. As long as they are open, that is where we will go. It's not a fast-food type of chain jewelry store. It's quality.

I have had two distinctly different experiences here. The first time I purchased a pearl necklace and the lady who assisted me was helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. This was fairly straight forward and I thought I'd come back here. I thought maybe I had found a local jeweler I could trust, but no. The second time I went to get my wife's engagement ring appraised for insurance purposes. The staff took the ring for like 4 days, was rude and uninviting. It's almost as if they just want to sell jewelry and not service it. Will probably not come back.

I needed a simple watch repair, just a crystal replaced, so I called to check their hours. It seems I got attitude right off. I was told that the watch would be sent out and they would call with an estimate in a few days. They've had my watch for 3 weeks and I've not been able to get ANY information from them. For any jewelry needs GO ELSEWHERE!!

They LOST a diamond in my ring! They handed me back my ring with the diamond visibly missing, and shrugged their shoulders saying it probably got stuck in their polishing machine. For this one simple ring touch-up, I dealt with the place 4 times, between stopping in and calling. 4/4 times, I had horrible, rude, unfriendly service. The worst part: no one ever even apologized or offered any consolation for my troubles. In fact, they gave *me* an attitude, and acted like the whole thing was no big deal. Yuck.
