I just moved my stuff from extra space storage on route 20 in auburn and when I opened my unit to move my stuff out of it, there were signs of rodents and spiders that had created homes in my stuff (YUCK!!! THAT'S DISGUSTING!!!). On top of that your stuff is subject to the elements of weather there so very very hot in three summers and FREEZING cold in the winters. They also do NOT tell you that the price of your unit will go up about every 7-9 months by at LEAST $40 each time. It's unbelievable!! They also require you to buy a specific kind of lock for your unit and its the most expensive key lock I've ever had to pay money for. It came to somewhere between $20-$30. They also do not let you pay part of the cost of your unit, it's all or nothing, so if you want to pay half of it on the 15th and the other half the day it's due (because it becomes WAY TOO extensive after a while) then that's too bad. Lastly, when I was deciding to move out I was given misinformation about the process!! I was almost required to pay another whole month on top of late fees for this misinformation!! I still had to pay the astronomical cost of the late fees though which sucked!! The only real benefit is that they are all ground floor units and I never felt like my stuff would get stolen or anything because their security system seems pretty great. They also don't require you to get insurance from them and you can get your own insurance if you feel like you need some for your stuff. (The place across the street requires you to get insurance on your stuff either through them or on your own, but they require proof of it or you cannot rent a unit from them and the cost through them was crazy extensive.)

Reserve online for one price. Come in to finalize need to pay an admin fee and insurance on the unit.  Not able to decline insurance. Company should post true and accurate prices and not mislead customers.
