As they say around here, "as honest as the day is long." I've been taking my cars to Gary's Exxon for over 20 years -- new cars, 14-year old clunkers -- and I have always gotten excellent service, always well below the cost of chain repair shops, and on one or two occasions when the problem was not fixed the first time, Gary and the crew were up front and addressed it on the next go around. They also give great referrals to body shops, heating/cooling and other specialists and I've always been satisfied with that service too!

Honest, unpretentious, competent folks. Bill is always less than anticipated, they don't push for things that I didn't ask for. I drive from the other town to get my cars looked at.

Fantastic when it comes to repair work

Absolutely the most honest car repair shop in State College. I was hearing a clicking/grinding noise coming from the front passenger tire. I was worried it was the bearing, tire belt, cv joint, etc. If one of these goes bad it could cause real problems. I took it in to them to check it out. I am not the typical "car guy" who can really diagnose problems with cars pretty well. Turns out it was none of those, which really surprised me. It was the hubcap grinding against the tire. To me the hubcap looked pretty tight to the tire but I guess not. They didn't charge me a dime for inspecting the car. Even though I tried to pay for their time, they refused. To me that shows they really are honest people. Highly recommend. I know other people who have actually had repairs done and they said the work was flawless.
