My experience there has always been with friendly and helpful professionals. The cost of glasses is high, but I know that going in so it wasn't a big deal. I actually bought my frames elsewhere and they did the lenses. Always professional, courteous, and accommodating.

I've gone to Eyecare of Vermont for sometime now, and the glasses I've bought there have been great. They're frames are definitely pricey, coming from brands such as Ralph Lauren and Liz Claiborne. My most recent pair, I believe, we're $275 for the frames alone. I think that's really their only down side, but as for their services and eye exams they do a great job. Friendly receptionists and clean offices!

I needed to look for new frames and order a new set of lenses. The woman who helped me was Sabra (I hope I'm spelling her name correctly). Sabra was very friendly, and did an excellent job answering my questions and helping me get the right lenses ordered. Thank you for your help, Sabra!

I like the place a lot, good people as far as I can tell.  What did strike me as slightly off-putting may not be their doing, but it's important to recognize that charges add up quickly.  I'd have given five stars if they set my expectations better about how much things would cost.  

I was looking at a new pair of rims, followed the instructions, stayed under the budget that they explained (what was to be paid by my insurance).  All good.  Then I needed lenses.  Would you like special coatings?  Color changing?  Damage Resistance?  Everything adds to the price.  And, then, with my insurance there was a co-pay for the lenses.  

And then there was another co-pay for my office visit. 

Depending on your insurance carrier, these things may not apply and you (reader) and I may have different opinions on what is too costly, but I'd like them to be more clear with how the charges might pile up as different options are considered.  As a consumer, it's hard to make decisions about what you want to afford when it's not clear as day.

I  have been coming to Eyecare of Vermont for years.  The staff are professional,thoughtful, and kind.  I feel comfortable and l know they listen to my concerns.  I have been seeing eye doctors since I was three and Dr. Eriksson is the best one I have ever seen.  I trust his expertise and appreciate his thorough approach to caring for my eyes.  He is always responsive to my concerns.
