WOW, possibly the most useless doctor's appointment I've ever been to. I first started suffering from chronic pain four years ago, after a bout of serious depression. When I visited the pain clinic, they told me to come back when I had "dealt with" my psychological issues. When I arrived at my appointment yesterday (which I had to BEG them to give me--they apparently refuse to treat patients with psychiatric problems--discrimination, much?), and Dr. Brauner was rude and extremely dismissive from the moment he entered the room. He refused to do any diagnostics or other examinations, and he told me I should take so much Gabapentin (a relative of Xanax, that helps with neuropathic pain) that I was groggy/too tired, and then I would probably be in less pain. When I replied that I would rather look into treating the SOURCE of the pain, as opposed to numbing the pain, he literally said that he had no suggestions. He had absolutely no empathy or bedside manner. Incredible waste of time and money. I would recommend the Mind-Body Medicine clinic instead, if you suffer from chronic pain and want an empathetic doctor who is actually knowledgable and willing to help find your cause and cure.

Horrible! I have never been in a practice that cared so little about their patients.
