The People of Faith United Methodist Church will…

OPEN OUR HANDS. We aspire to be a Christian community of action.

We seek to support our local community and the global community. We challenge all to go into the world in service, putting personal faith into action.

OPEN OUR HEARTS. We aspire to be a caring and nurturing community.

We seek to proclaim the good news and live the example of Jesus, creating a community of love, compassion, and forgiveness where people encounter God and are transformed and renewed by Christ's love.

OPEN OUR DOORS. We aspire to be a community of faith that welcomes all people.

We seek to invite and welcome all people to experience the love of Christ. All people are welcome at Faith United Methodist Church.

Mission

We value ACCEPTANCE
“We are no longer Jews or Greeks or slaves or free or even merely men or women, but we are all the same – we are Christians; we are one in Christ Jesus.” Galatians 3:28

We embrace diversity; understanding that all people are loved by God. We seek to create a non-judgmental, grace filled, environment that welcomes all people.

We value SPIRITUALTRANSFORMATION
“And then take on an entirely new way of life – a God-fashioned life, a life renewed from the inside and working itself into your conduct as God accurately reproduces God’s character in you.” Ephesians 4:22

We understand that no one is perfect but, that, with God’s help, we can learn new ways of living and being that make us more and more like Christ. We seek to build the foundation for people to grow in Christ-like character.

We value OUTREACH
“And I pray that as you share your faith with others it will grip their lives too, as they see the wealth of good things in you that come from Christ Jesus. “ Philemon 1:6

We are convinced that the church does not exist for itself but also for those beyond the walls of our church. We seek to intentionally share our faith with those not connected to a church so that they may know of God’s great love for them.

We value MISSIONS
“God's Spirit is on me; he's chosen me to preach the Message of good news to the poor, Sent me to announce pardon to prisoners and recovery of sight to the blind, To set the burdened and battered free.” Luke 4:18

We seek to live our faith in action that alleviates human suffering both locally and globally.

We value FAMILIES AND CHILDREN
“Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.’” Matthew 19:14

We value family life, in all its forms, and seek to bring families closer together. We seek to include children in our ministries and ensure their safety while among us.

We value RELEVANT WORSHIP
“Suppose some strangers are in your worship service, when you are praising God with your spirit. If they don't understand you, how will they know to say, ‘Amen’? You may be worshiping God in a wonderful way, but no one else will be helped” 1 Corinthians 14:16-17

We esteem worship as the central act of the church. We seek to be relevant to people of different generations and backgrounds so that all can praise God in ways that best connect them to God.
